Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s inaugural mooncake collection, Les Fleurs de Lumiére (translates into Flowers of Light), delights in both taste and also how it stays true to the ethos behind Racines, the hotel’s sole restaurant: both French and local Chinese.

And for that, The Luxe (French Foie Gras & Truffle Oil with Assorted Nuts) is a definite must-try. Perfumed with heady truffle notes, the baked mooncake opens up to a wonderfully textured filling that is made rich, oily (the good kind) and savoury with the opulent addition of foie gras.

Other flavours in their first ever collection include The Traditional (White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk), The Oriental (Green Tea Paste with Melon Seed), and Singapour Je T’aime Red Date Paste with Slivered Almonds.

And for those asking about the packaging design, it is indeed a work of art—Bouquet Magnifique by renowned Italian artist Arianna Caroli, and specially commissioned as Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s official art piece.
