Naughty Nuri's Opens in Singapore at Capitol Piazza
Fans of Naughty Nuri's signature sticky ribs and mean martinis rejoice, the famous Bali 'warung' has finally launched its first Singapore outpost at Capitol Piazza.
Naughty Nuri's Singapore features a decently sized menu of small plates and Asian fare (price range $5 to $15), grilled mains (price range $12 to $35), as well as a cocktail program (price starts $18) curated by renowned mixologist Ricky Paiva.
Lemak Chilli Party ($6.80)
For first-timers, I recommend visiting with a friend, or two, and going for the Nuri's Indonesian Feast for Two ($79.80). It is a sumptuous spread good to share amongst 2 or 3 pax, and contain some of my favourite items from the menu. The set consists of of Half Rack Pork Ribs, Lemak Chilli Party, Sambal Prawns Petai, Nasi Goreng, Indon Buffalo Drumlets, Soup Buntut, Fried Tofu, and ends off with Gula Melaka Creme Brulee.
Compared to Bali, the signature Ribs ($18.80 for half, $35.80 for full rack) here—marinated in traditional Balinese spices then grilled over charcoal, as per in Bali—are slightly fattier and possessed less of that deep smokiness, but more than makes up for it with a delicious side of robust sweet-salty chilli sauce.

Also delicious and return-worthy is the Lemak Chilli Party ($6.80) of fork-tender chicken leg that's been braised in a smooth turmeric coconut gravy, as well as the fiery yet wonderfully flavoursome Sambal Prawns Petai ($11.80) enjoyed with a drizzle of coconut cream.

Or if you're looking to grab drinks and a quick bite, go for the Crispy Pig Ears ($6.80), seasoned with curry powder and a dash of lime, or the Burnt Squid ($8.80) matched with a lip-smacking red pepper sauce.

Pulled Pork Burger ($16.50)
We also sampled the Pulled Pork Burger ($16.50) but weren't quite impressed. The flavours were limp and the yogurt mint slaw missing any hint of mint that might have actually helped to give the overall dish that needed lift.
